Service above Self is the motto of Rotary, and it is lived each day throughout our community and in the members of the Rotary Club of York as we go about our work to improve the lives of those around us.
Once a year, this effort coalesces into a grand event that produces a major fundraising effort to provide financial support for some important ongoing projects.
Our signature event, Love For Community, is an excellent example of Rotary demonstrating its best when Rotarians and friends come together for a day of friendly competition playing golf, tennis, croquet, and corn hole. Through this annual event, Rotarians gather to raise much needed dollars to support projects and organizations addressing critical community needs.
Proceeds from this event have supported projects and programs in the areas of social justice, youth violence prevention, youth literacy, the opioid crisis, childcare scholarships, youth baseball programs, honoring our veterans, and more.
This outstanding event inspires so many people who serve our community through the giving of their resources and time, as donors and volunteers. And, we enjoy each other's company while we give!
