Following the death of her son, Martin Wilson Kondor, in Iraq in 2004, Cher Kondor turned that pain and sorrow into an effort to help comfort grieving military families by founding the Veterans Memorial Gold Star Healing and Peace Garden located in Memorial Park, York. This is the ten-year anniversary of the Gold Star Garden. Cher will discuss how important it was for the gardens to reflect the core values of courage and valor her son was trying to implement daily into his service in the Army.

PLASTICS TO BE COLLECTED JUNE 1
As a follow up to the Rotary meeting on April 6 with CDRC, members are encouraged to begin collecting household plastics. All plastics can be placed in the green bags provided by CDRC and
returned to the June 1st Rotary meeting. Additional green bags will be provided at upcoming meetings
for those who may not have received one.
FELLOWSHIP COMMITTEE TO HOST UPCOMING EVENTS
Join the Fellowship Committee for these upcoming events:
Happy Hour on Thursday, June 2 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. This informal get-together will take place at Pub 28 at Box Hill Mansion, 1501 Copper Beach Drive, York.
Networking opportunity at York Water Company 1897 Brillhart Pumping Station on Friday, June 10 from 12:00pm-1:00pm. Attendees will tour the facility located at Croll School Road and enjoy a complimentary lunch.
Rotary Night at the Revs at PeoplesBank Park on Wednesday, June 22 starting at 5:30pm. Friends and family are welcome to enjoy a night at the ballpark as the Revs take on the Lancaster Barnstormers and we host the Rotary Club of Lancaster. Attendees can pre-order the following ticket options:
Adult ticket with food option*: $36
Child ticket with food option (ages 4-10): $20
Children 3 and under: FREE
Ballgame ticket only: $12

MEET THE NEW MEMBER - STEVE HARLACHER
Steve is a Controller for Graham Capital. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) from Millersville University and a Masters in Business Administration (Management) from York College of Pennsylvania. Steve has served as a Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Member of the West Manchester Township Board of Supervisors since 2010. He previously served on the West Manchester Township Park/Recreation Board for 15 years and was on both the Allocation and Agency Review Committee for the United Way of York County. Steve and his wife, Melanie, are parents to four sons and live in York. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, golf, hiking, backpacking and watching his sons play sports.
