SERVICE ABOVE SELF AWARD NOMINATIONS
Do you know someone who should be honored with a Service Above Self Award? Rotarians are encouraged to nominate an extraordinary individual who meets the qualifying criteria:
Made an impact on the York Community
Gone above and beyond what is expected of him/her
Performed an act of heroism
Not received recognition for his/her actions
AND:
Is NOT in an occupation in which such actions are part
of the job description
Could be a role-model for others
Since this description fits most Rotarians, we are strongly inclined to seek NON-Rotarian nominees, with rare exceptions.
The award is named in honor of the late Charles S. Wolf, a Past-District Governor, who exemplified the qualities of the Service Above Self Award. Honorees will attend a Rotary Club of York meeting where they will receive a glass trophy engraved with their name. Additionally, the award includes a check for $150 made out to the non-profit organization of the recipient's choice.
Nomination forms will be placed on tables at the January 4th Rotary meeting. For any questions, please contact Committee Chair, Michael Hady, at Michael.Hady@Powdermillfoundation.org.
