PROGRAM:
DA David Sunday, a top litigator and a leader in York County’s fight against illegal drugs, and WellSpan’s Dr. Mitch Crawford will discuss the Community Action for Recovery and Diversion project, also known as CARD. The CARD program aims to address the needs of people with unmet behavioral health concerns in the York criminal and family justice systems. Come hear how this is being done by using lessons learned from the 20+ years of Wellness Courts success.
Dr. Mitchell Crawford serves as the Director of Addiction Services for WellSpan Health as well as the Medical Director for the Specialized Treatment and Recovery Team at WellSpan. He has published journal articles, a book chapter, held leadership positions, given numerous grand rounds, and presented at various levels of meetings, including at the national level, on topics in the field of addictions.

GREEN BAGS AVAILABLE FOR PICK-UP
The Rotary Club of York did such a great job of collecting plastics last time, that we're doing it again! Green Bags will be placed on the mail table at upcoming meetings. Please take one (or more) and continue collecting your household plastics. Collection of the bags will take place in August with more details to follow.
LOVE FOR COMMUNITY: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH
NEW ON-LINE REGISTRATION is now open for teams and sponsorships for LOVE FORE COMMUNITY, the annual charitable fundraising event held by The Rotary Club of York on September 12th. This year’s event will be held at The Country Club of York and offers opportunities to play golf, tennis, croquet and NEW for this year, cornhole. MEET THE NEW MEMBER: DAN BYRNES
Dan is the York County Clerk of Courts. He obtained a degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix in 2006. Prior to college, Dan served as an E5 Sergeant in the Army. Dan has been a Consultant for Glen Hope Care Farm since 2019. He is the Founder of LZ Phoenix, an organization that provides transitioning and homeless veterans and their families with temporary housing. He is also a volunteer for Bartz Brigade, a local nonprofit organization that supports the education, prevention, and awareness of suicide with a focus on adolescents, young adults and those serving in our military. Dan has been a Voting Member on the Criminal Justice Advisory Board since 2020. In his free time, he enjoys farming and volunteering with veteran organizations. Dan and his wife, Katie, live in York with their daughter.
