On April 11, 2013 the Rotary Club of York conducted its inaugural York Honor Flight, escorting a dozen WWII and Korean War veterans from York, PA to their WWII Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC.  York Honor Flight is a partner in the National Honor Flight Network and one of two regional hubs in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  The Rotary Club of York sponsored the trip and provided Rotarian escorts for our veterans.  York Honor Flight is but one way our local Rotarians place service above self in our community.

As the Rotary Club of York (PA, USA) nears its 100th birthday, the 300-plus members are proud of the difference the club has made to York City's past, it present, and planning for its future.

Putting "The Four Way Test" to work in and for the York community is the mantra of the club, which now ranks as the 30th largest club in the world.

From scholarships to charitable endowment funds to honoring deserving students and community people to preserving the earth, the 42 committees of the Rotary Club of York are working to make York a better place in which to live and work. To accomplish that objective, members roll up their sleeves to work and/or write checks for charitable causes.

As evidence of the Rotary Club of York's charitable giving, more than 900 of the club members are Paul Harris Fellows, underwriting the work of Rotary International.

The Rotary Club of York welcomes visiting Rotarians and their guests at its weekly Wednesday meetings at noon at the Yorktowne Hotel, 48 E. Market Street, in the heart of the community the club serves.
