Madeline Torres Ocasio discusses the York County population, and the organization's goals and possibilities of supporting the York County Hispanic Community. The York County Hispanic Coalition, a not-for-profit organization  was established in 1988.
 
Madeline has worked for the school district of the City of York since 2000, settling at the William Penn Senior High School. There, she works with the English as a Second Language department managing the EL Resource Center, where she teaches students who need one-on-one accommodations to succeed in school. Madeline believes that education can change lives, opening doors to new opportunities. 
 
The York County Hispanic Coalition provides that possibility to York County High School Seniors of Hispanic heritage by awarding scholarships to students interested in obtaining a post-secondary education.
