PROGRAM:
Pamela Gunter-Smith began serving as president of York College of Pennsylvania on July 1, 2013 with a vision for creating a culture of increased community connectivity.
Dr. Gunter-Smith offers a recap of the steps she and her administration have taken to effectively navigate the unprecedented COVID 19 crisis, all the while ensuring that a high level of teaching and student learning continued to flourish at the College. She also offers an overview of the course she is charting for the fall semester and beyond as York County emerges from a state mandated shelter-in-place order.
Under her leadership, the College has established the Center for Community Engagement, created a multi-disciplinary partnership with YCIDA to assist in bringing back the Yorktowne Hotel, increased the College’s scholars programs designed to engage students in York as part of their York College learning experience.
