Jason Raybin, Economics of Solar Energy , Rotary Club of York, PA, Meeting 4/19/2023

HYBRID MEETING - CCY and virtual on Zoom.

Renewable energy is the world’s fastest growing energy source, with solar energy representing America’s fastest-growing power source, accounting for more than 40% of all new electricity generating capacity. Jason Raybin, a US Navy Submarine Veteran, has worked with power systems for 16 of the last 20 years. Jason Raybin shares the basics of how solar power works - where it started, where it is now, and where it’s headed.

Analysts have projected that total US solar capacity will quadruple over the next 10 years. The drastic improvement in performance is constantly evolving, and with the rise of energy storage technologies, it will become an even more viable solution.

Jason is enrolled full time at Drexel University’s Accelerated MBA program, where he is concentrating on Strategic Technology & Innovation Management, as well as Corporate Sustainability and Social Impact.
