Congressman Scott Perry, US Congressional Candidate, Rotary Club of York, PA, Meeting October 30, 2024
This meeting was not recorded.
Congressman Scott Perry, the incumbent Republican candidate for PA's 10th District, including Dauphin County and parts of Cumberland and York counties, speaks to our club about his record and why he believes he is the best person to represent the 10th District in Congress.
He is a member and former Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus; served three terms in the Pennsylvania General Assembly; has a bachelor’s degree from Penn State in Business Management; and a master’s degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.
Raised by a single mother, Scott learned the importance of faith, family, and service to his community at an early age. Scott’s first job, at age 13, was picking fruit locally at Ashcombe’s, where he learned the value of a hard day’s work. Scott took these lessons with him as he worked his way through college, and enlisted in the military, where he rose from the rank of Private to General, earning the privilege of commanding Troops and flying 44 combat missions in Iraq. He retired from the U.S. Army at the rank of Brigadier General in 2019, after nearly 40 years in uniform.
