Join us as we hear from Ophelia Chambliss, how OMA, a York County Trail-Friendly Business, is helping build and support careers centered on culture and creativity right here in our local community.

 

Rotarian Ophelia Chambliss, an arts professional and educator, focuses her efforts on the industry of art as a career. Her non-profit business, Ophelia's Making Agency (OMA), works with small, minority-owned, creative businesses to help them improve, grow, and innovate into viable, sustainable endeavors. 

 

OMA helps businesses identify their strengths; recognize their weaknesses and potential threats; and take advantage of their opportunities. OMA is also working to bring affordable studio spaces to the WECO district so that artists will have the space from which to practice their craft and grow their businesses. 

 

These creative incubators and work spaces would raise the visibility of art as a career and add to the cultural offerings of our downtown area.
