Rotarians Silas Chamberlin and Julie Wheeler, talk about the current state of broadband internet access in York County and the county’s strategy to address the digital divide to ensure a high quality of life and economic competitiveness for our county.
The digital divide negatively impacts York County residents and businesses every day. That’s why the York County Commissioners worked with the York County Economic Alliance to launch the YoCo Fiber Broadband Task Force, build a 16-mile fiber backbone pilot project in the last four months of 2020, and implementing an ambitious plan for countywide broadband connectivity.
