The 68,000-square-foot facility will be at the practice’s main location, 1855 Powder Mill Road in York Township. It will include 30 beds and four “state-of-the-art operating suites,” Lord said.
Not only are orthopedic hospitals becoming the industry standard, but the continued growth of York County’s aging population means “plenty of business” for all of the area’s hospital, OSS orthopedic surgeon Steven Groff told club members in attendance.
The “world-class facility” also will have the ability to attract high-quality physicians, he added.
There will an open house for the hospital — which broke ground in September 2009 — from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 10. It will welcome its first patient on Oct. 18, Groff said.
