Celebrating its 85th season, the York Symphony Orchestra has been a staple cultural institution in the community since 1933. During this time, they have had to adapt to York's changing demographics, economy, and culture. However, this challenge has not been unique to the YSO; symphony orchestras around the country and the world have been dealing with the exact same issues. York Rotarian Michael Reichman, General Manager/COO of the YSO will highlight some of the most successful ways orchestras in the US have navigated these shifting landscapes. YSO Music Director, Lawrence Golan, will then give a brief overview of its upcoming concerts, and introduce members of York Symphony Orchestra to the club--including their brand new Concertmaster, Denise Dillenbeck.

We will be offsite today at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts Center. Members and guests should be pre-registered to attend the lunch no later than Friday, September 15. There will be bright pink reservation forms on the lunch tables to register or you can contact the office 717-848-1370 or [email protected]
